Since two weeks ago, there's this sound coming up from STELLAR's right front wheels.

It's a squealing sound.

Apparently my earlier session three days ago to eliminate the sound didn't really work out.

Mr Jasmie did a brake disc skim, and replaced my brake master pump pipe.

The sound did disappear for a few kilometers, but then it reappears bit by bit again, until last night.

It really gets on my nerves.

The thing is, on the straights the sound was a pulsating one, increasing in frequency as the speed increases, and a light corner augments the sound. A heavier corner eliminates it completely until you go straight again.

This morning, the sound persists until 25km, when I reached a toll booth. Then it disappears completely. What gives!?

I can only hope, coz I really do think it's the wheel hub bearing acting up.

Brake Repairs

Finally I did the unthinkable.

I uninstalled and dismantled STELLAR's brake master cylinder.

On Merdeka night!

Only thing was, the stuff Pak Syed called his version of repair kit was incomplete. So I have to wait to buy those new when I got the budget. You see, no non-return valve was around.

No Brakes Again..

I did it again today!

I drive with no brakes.

I think I got the hang of it. I don't feel feverish anymore, like two Fridays ago.

But something bothers me.

When I shift down from fourth to third, there's a few clunking knocks audible under the engine.

But there's also a somewhat fragile lorry overtaking me on the left, so was it the lorry?

And then, when the handbrake locks the rear wheel, there's a small or medium sounding bang of sorts at the back. Which worries me too.

When I finally and safely reached the office, I topped up both brake and clutch cylinders, and tested the brakes. It doesn't respond at all.

That means the rubber seal's out. So that needs replacing. And Pudu is in my plan once again (to buy them spare parts).

STELLAR Needing TLC

Last night, STELLAR did his last brake stunt while avoiding a stupid Waja driver who think he can control his car while driving insanely fast. Then the brakes failed altogether.

So I took half day leave today. STELLAR will need urgent brake repairs, and I need to use him everyday too.

Went to Bangi in the morning. The shop I went just before Raya Fitrah to repair our Wira seems to be a good place to do repairs.

And it's a good deal cheap too.

The leftover money is spent on doing the alignment at another shop, though the feel is far from satisfactory. But I guess the floating feeling I always feel on the road got lesser.

When I arrived at the office, I saw the toe-in of the front wheel remained the same.

Will probably head to the shop again sometimes later.

Alignment that failed...
